Everyday Carrie

We are unbelievable into the double digits of months! Whew! Tyler and I are blessed more and more every day by our baby boy. Boy is the key word bc he is all boy! A fearless one!

I didn’t do a list last month and then felt bad bc my friend Angie talked about it. So this month is a top 10 of things Nate loves…

1. Loves to walk! Just few steps at a time right now but he loves to walk around furniture, walls, people- whatever he can.

2. Loves feeding himself. Can we say independent? He basically loves to eat and eat and eat. I am worried that I stuffing him like a little toad frog.

3. Loves to give open mouth slobbery kisses! My favorite!

4. Loves to say “uh oh”. Sometimes sing song. Sometimes when he drops his sippy cup. Whenever.

5. Loves to play. He gets upset if you pick him up when he is in concentrated play mode!

6. Loves to be in public. A slight extrovert.

7. Loves pushing cars around. He just figured out he can do this:)

8. Loves the pool. I hope he likes the ocean as much.

9. Loves Beasley. He will follow her around, try to get in her crate, give her food from his high chair, and is just totally entertained by her.

10. Loves to giggle. Okay, maybe I love this but when he gets the giggles it is all over and it sends us all into deep belly laughs.

We love you Nateroo!

We got together with some good friends this week to play. It had been too long and we were so glad to see them! It is going to be a serious romper room when they can run around!

Nate did it! He took his first steps today! Four to five steps at a time to be exact. We were so excited and so busy having him walk back and forth to us that we didn’t get any pictures. Here is one of him on the move though…

It is so unbelievable!!

It has been a weekend of celebrations. Very fun and busy!

It started with a bridal shower celebrating my friend Alysia… I always love a girly luncheon especially with these girly girls!

That night we went to Ava’s first bday party. Nate was more concerned about doing laps around the house and all my other pictures were blurry bc everyone else was on the move too!

The next day was Father’s Day and we celebrated with the Reagins over a lunch at a jam packed Longhorns. Then Tyler took a hike around the house with Nate in his birthday/father’s day pack.

We followed it all up with Tyler’s bday today! Not only was it Tyler’s bday but it was the Brewers anniversary and Lilli’s 2nd bday! It was fun chaos with a some good friends, lots of little ones, ice cream cake, and Tyler’s favorite meal. Thanks everyone for coming to the impromptu party!

It has been 11 years since I took Tyler to lunch at Mellow Mushroom in Athens for his birthday. He was about to leave for the summer  to work at camp and I don’t think he had any idea that I really liked him. Hmmmm. How much more obvious could I be than to take him to lunch!?

That was one of our first “dates” that set the stage for many birthdays to come. He isn’t quite as skinny but he dresses a little better:) Wow we were young! I love you babe!! Happy 32!

Happy 1st Father’s Day! We love you!

My cousin Mandy came to visit this past weekend with her two boys (Hutton almost 3 yrs old and Colton 10 months). We tried to figure out that we are first cousins so our boys are second cousins to us then that would make our boys third cousins to each other, right? Well, all I know is we had a great time! It was really sweet to see our boys playing so hard together and then think about us growing up and always playing together too. I have such sweet memories of growing up with Mandy (and Robyn and Stacy:). I wish we lived closer and could play all the time!

We had two pool days- the first was the baby pool on the porch. It was splash fest. Yes, it is an Ariel pool that my Mom has for my nieces but notice that it is load with Matchbox cars. Nate was totally amused by Hutton. He watched intently and chased after him the whole time!

Then we had a real pool day… Nate’s first trip to the pool!

Nate went to the doctor yesterday for his 9 month well check. It is a little late bc we just changed pediatricians. Why I have been going to an office of filth for nine months is beyond me. This new office was so nice and bright and cheery. The people at the front desk were so friendly. A whole new world. Anyway- he is 20 lbs. Yes a chunker and 29 1/2 inches (90th percentile) with a big noggin:)

He is so incredibly fun right now. Babbling and dancing all the time and practically running circles around furniture. He hasn’t let go yet but he wants to so bad. Waving and saying “ba ba” is probably my favorite thing though! His favorite toy is the mailbox on this garden toy. He literally checks the mail 8,000 times a day! These are blurry because he checks the mail so fast…
