Chick-fila Mom?!
Well, that is the the term I have heard when I tell people that I am going to be staying home full time with Nate. I hadn’t heard this until a couple weeks ago. It doesn’t sound like a terrible idea though:) Maybe I was a Chick-fila mom before I was actually a mom. The money I have spent there could have paid for a college education!
Anyway, Tyler and I made the decision a while back that I was going to stay home with Nate. It was a harder decision to make than I thought it would be but it has also been incredibly freeing. It is a crazy feeling to completely give up a salary though. I think that is what made it so hard. Then you get mad at yourself that you are so focused on what you will be giving up monetarily. I know I won’t miss it in a few years when I look back at the time I get to spend with Nate! It has really made us look at what our priorities are in our life. I will miss where I work (not like I won’t see these people) and will miss working with my husband. How many people get to do that? I am just so thankful to be able do this and thankful for a husband that has been so supportive of me. I have been overwhelmed with how encouraging people have been about our decision. It has just been extreme confirmation!
Wow! I love this baby boy!

Awwwww, Nate is blessed to have such a good Mommy like you!
So happy for you that you get to stay home!! I quit work when Ella was 2, and have never looked back. It’s the best!
We should schedule some play dates with some other working-at -church-quitters such as ourselves
haha

Or maybe Chick-fil-A was like a mother to us in college?
Hilarious. You can be a Chick-fil-A mom, a Moe’s mom…Tyler can be a Zaxby’s dad. Oh, the possibilities! You know I’m right there with you in just a little while!!!

I love it! Congrats on your new full time profession which will reward you many times over past the loss of income! Let’s do a chickfila date soon!

Bootie! Tomorrow is my last day of work. I will wait for my baby boy to come (less than 2 weeks?) and prepare to be a stay-at-home mom too! Sadly though…there is no Chick-fil-A around…sigh. Probably a good thing though, because our new “budget” doesn’t look like it can provide too many lunches out…sigh.
