11 months and 1 day!

July 23, 2008 at 7:45 pm (Uncategorized)

What a busy month! So busy in fact that I missed the actual day :) So for my list this month it is 11 new Nate things. He is more and more little boy and less and less baby every day. It is so amazing and fun to watch him grow!

11 New Nate things…

1. Lots of teeths- not even sure how many new ones. Maybe 4? I have lost count.

2. First beach vacation

3. A love for the beach!

4. No more crawling if he can help it and only walking.

5. Fast walking!

6. More hair! It is like really washing hair now and not just a little scalp.

7. Eating big bites of food. All by himself-don’t try and help Mr. Independent.

8. High Fives!!! He is throwing them left and right.

9. New favorite toy-(besides the red beach scoop and lawn mower) is his kitchen cabinet of bowls and cups. He just figured out that he could sit inside the cabinet. Hilarious!

10. A new love discovery of riding in the bike buggy! One constant smile while the wind is in his hair :)

11. Good traveler and packnplay sleeper- thank goodness!

Vacation…

July 21, 2008 at 2:12 am (Uncategorized)

We just got back from vacation and had such a great week! I was going to blog and then decided before we left that it would be more of a vacation if i was totally unplugged. It was so nice to not be connected to the world and was a week of true relaxation. I am having beach withdraws! I think I need to go back for a month before coming back to the real world.

Nate loved the beach!! He loved the water, the sand, the waves, the bike, and the pool! We had so much fun with him experiencing so many new things. He played so hard every day and then just crashed every night. We did lots of riding bikes, eating, going to the beach and pool, eating again, and just relaxing with family. We only got in the car a couple times to load up on groceries and drive to dinner one night.

I think I am going to do a few posts about the beach this week so that I can hold on a little longer :)

Tyler has some great pictures to come but here are a few…

Cow Appreciation Day!

July 12, 2008 at 2:51 am (Uncategorized)

Of course we participated! You could either wear this hat to get a free entree or dress like a cow to get a free combo. I wish I had gotten a lot more pictures bc people really went all out but I thought it might be a little strange walking around Chickfila taking pictures of strangers. Then again- they were dressed up like cows as you can see in the background.

Who is addicted?

July 7, 2008 at 7:28 pm (Uncategorized)

We are addicted to ‘So you think you can dance’ because of course I think that I can dance. I mean I used to make up dances with my best friend in front of her wall of full length mirrors. I haven’t classified my style yet. Modern? Popper? Hip Hop? Ballroom? It could be a combination of all of those. Hmmm. Anyway…Tyler put this guy on his blog that was on the other night. Check it out bc it is so crazy!

Happy 4th!

July 7, 2008 at 1:57 am (Uncategorized)

We had a great relaxing weekend. No projects. No where we had to be. It was nice.

We got to cookout, watch fireworks from my parents front porch, visit with some old friends, and take some naps. We finished the weekend off with a fun birthday party (happy bday Bella).

Bella’s party was cowgirl/cowboy theme…Nate was the only cowboy minus Tyler as you can see :)

To the mailbox

I got Nate a new G hat in Athens this weekend. It is a necessity to have one. He wore it on his trip to the mailbox with Nanmommy and Grandaddy.

Delta Weekend

July 1, 2008 at 1:23 am (Uncategorized)

This weekend we had a little Tri Delta reunion in Athens and actually spent the night in the house. It was so much fun! A little crazy how comfortable we all seemed to settle into the house and it made us realize how good we had it in college.

Everyone came from all over (LA, NY, TN and right here in Atl). We had some good food and wine and just visited for hours. I will spare you from some good ol’ Delta songs! I had fun and can’t wait to see you all again soon!

10 months!

June 22, 2008 at 7:17 pm (Uncategorized)

We are unbelievable into the double digits of months! Whew! Tyler and I are blessed more and more every day by our baby boy. Boy is the key word bc he is all boy! A fearless one!

I didn’t do a list last month and then felt bad bc my friend Angie talked about it. So this month is a top 10 of things Nate loves…

1. Loves to walk! Just few steps at a time right now but he loves to walk around furniture, walls, people- whatever he can.

2. Loves feeding himself. Can we say independent? He basically loves to eat and eat and eat. I am worried that I stuffing him like a little toad frog.

3. Loves to give open mouth slobbery kisses! My favorite!

4. Loves to say “uh oh”. Sometimes sing song. Sometimes when he drops his sippy cup. Whenever.

5. Loves to play. He gets upset if you pick him up when he is in concentrated play mode!

6. Loves to be in public. A slight extrovert.

7. Loves pushing cars around. He just figured out he can do this :)

8. Loves the pool. I hope he likes the ocean as much.

9. Loves Beasley. He will follow her around, try to get in her crate, give her food from his high chair, and is just totally entertained by her.

10. Loves to giggle. Okay, maybe I love this but when he gets the giggles it is all over and it sends us all into deep belly laughs.

We love you Nateroo!

We got together with some good friends this week to play. It had been too long and we were so glad to see them! It is going to be a serious romper room when they can run around!

Mack and Nate talking about the Dawgs!

Everyone totally interested in Merrill and Kyle’s conversation!
